The Pacific 12 Conference is a Division I collegiate athletic conference based on the West Coast of the US. The Pacific 12 Conference’s history dates back to 1915 when the Pacific Coast Conference was founded as a conference of four schools. The PCC was disbanded in 1959 and a new conference called the Athletic association of Western Universities was formed with the same five member schools. Since 1959, the conference has undergone several name changes including Pacific 8 and Pacific 10. In 2011, the conference officially became the Pacific 12 when two additional teams boosted the membership to 12 schools. Pac-12, as it is commonly known, has won over 500 NCAA Championships, including 8 NCAA titles in 2021. The Pacific 12 sponsors 11 men’s sports and 13 women’s sports.
